Cambodia: Acts 1:8, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Cambodia MapWe are grateful that the Lord allows us to participate with Him in His Word and helping people know Him. Earlier this year, we were privileged to baptize more than thirty people in one of the twenty-two new villages where our brothers and sisters carried the Good News. It was a wonderful and festive celebration!

As the baptism was concluding, a mother approached a team member, speaking rapidly. After asking her to slow down, the team member understood her to say, “My children- they cannot walk, they cannot talk, they cannot swim, but they know Jesus and want to be baptized!” The team member looked to where the woman was pointing. There, backed into the water as deep as he could go, the father had a cart with three young special-needs men. The team member shared their need and immediately the pastors surrounded the cart, pouring water over these young men and praying intensely.

A few months later, we held a Bible college class on Church Growth and Evangelism. Two-thirds of the class was taught by our Khmer leaders. The father of the three young special-needs men was a part of the class; his first time to attend a session as a leader of the developing church in the village.

God is truly raising up disciples in this nation! We will continue to bear witness to the Kingdom of God through acts of compassion, education, discipleship, fellowship, and evangelism in our Jerusalem, Judea, and Samaria, even to the “ends of the Earth!”
