More than 120 bags of rice were packed for Nazarene families and other families in the Northern Province of Isabella, who were displaced by Typhoon Labuyo.

The rice, purchased through Nazarene Compassionate Ministries funds, will be driven to the Luzon Nazarene District Center in Pangasinan Province, where the rice will be combined with other supplies being staged at the district center.  Nazarene Disaster Response team members will then transport the relief supplies for distribution in the Northern province of Isabella, one of the provinces hit hardest by Monday’s storm.

Typhoon Labuyo, the strongest to hit the Philippines this year, made landfall in the North of the country in the early hours of Monday, August 12th.  We are praising God that there was very minimal loss of life as presently reported.  Unfortunately, damage to homes and crops was extensive.
